The following information is important to you. Please take a moment to go through them.

Guidelines for Students/Swimmers

Please be punctual for your sessions.

Please await instructions from the Swim Teacher/Coaches before entering the pool.

Please pay attention to your Swim Teacher/Coaches during the lesson.

Ask questions when in doubt.

No pushing or running at the poolside.

Have your name marked on all your personal training equipment.

Swim equipment required by students/swimmers:

A. Goggles	(All levels)
B. Kickboard	(All levels)
C. Swim Fins	(Station 3 onwards)
D. Pull Buoy	(Endurance level & above)
E. Hand Paddles	(Half-Squad level & above)
F. Snorkels	(APSC Swimmers)

The above items are available at the Swim School for your purchase.

Always try your best and be positive.

Please do your best to attend your scheduled lessons.

Guidelines for Parents

1.	Please be punctual.
2.	The poolside is strictly out of bounds for parents. If you wish to speak to any of our Swim Teachers, please inform the Deck Coordinator and she will arrange a meeting. We do appreciate your co-operation.
3.	Please do not show any signs of anxiety towards your child as they can sense it.
4.	Let the Swim Teacher take care of your child during the lesson.
5.	Give positive reinforcement and words of encouragement to your child after each lesson.
6.	After class, please arrange for your child to shower and change immediately. Do not allow your child to be in the water without an accompanying adult.

Important Information for
*Learn-to-Swim / Endurance / Stroke Development

Make-up Policy:

a. There will be No Make-up lessons for no-show or

b. If your scheduled class falls on a Public Holiday and

	i.	New Year's Eve,
	ii.	Chinese New Year's Eve & Days 3-6,
	iii.	Christmas Eve and
	iv.	one week in September or October (selected month will depend on the international competition calendar)

* Please note that there are certain months in the calendar year with a 5th week. There are no extra charges for the additional lessons.

Make-up lesson may be scheduled for students only if they are ill. Please note the following points pertaining to Make-up lessons:

i.	To be eligible for Make-up lessons, a copy of the Medical Certificate or Receipt is necessary and you must be a registered student of the swim school..
ii.	Make-up lesson applies to the Learn-to-Swim and Stroke Development programs only.
iii.	Please inform the office at 6777-5823. A make-up coupon will be issued to you upon submission of your Medical Certificate or Receipt.
iv.	Please call one week in advance to schedule for the make- up lesson. Please be present for your scheduled make-up lesson, otherwise, it will be considered a forfeiture. We do not make-up a Make-up lesson.
v.	Please return the coupon to the Coordinator before the start of each lesson.
vi.	Make-up lessons* are scheduled only on every Saturday and Sunday, 11am at the ACJC Sports Complex / Farrer Park Swimming Complex or other designated pool.
vi.a	Make-up lessons for Endurance Program are on weekdays only.
vi.b	No make-up lessons for Half Squad program as the frequency is thrice per week.
vii	Kindly note that Make-up coupons have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for lesson fees.

The APS Swim School Learn-to-Swim Certification Program:
The purpose of this program is to provide a tangible tool to motivate the child and it also acts as a clear indicator of the child's progress.

i.	Our Trainer/Deck Supervisor will conduct the grading. The child will be graded upon recommendation by the Swim Teacher. On passing the grading, your child will be awarded a sticker to be pasted on the Certificate. Badges will be awarded for each station. Upon completion of the syllabus, the Certificate will be presented to your child.
ii.	The grading will be conducted during lesson time. Your child will be able to participate in as many Grading as long as he/she is recommended and eligible for it.
iii.	The cost of the Certificate is S$10.70
iv.	The test fees are as follows: S$6 per test for Station 1 to 4 S$9 per test for Station 5 to 8

Please note:
*Students must participate in all preceding levels of grading if their evaluated entry level is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
* Station recommended for grading does not reflect current learning level.
* Students will only be recommended for grading on Stations, which they have already learnt.

Important Information for
*Competitive Program - Red & White / Gold / Blue @ FP / Blue @ ACJC

Please attend all training sessions except on:

i.	New Year's Eve/Day,
ii.	Chinese New Year's Eve/Days 1-2,
iii.	Christmas Eve/Day and
iv.	a fortnight in September or October (selected month will depend on the international competition calendar)

Re-Joining Fee
Kindly give us a call when you are ready to resume training. A fee of $120 is applicable for all re-joining swimmers in addition to the monthly fee.
The following reasons for previous withdrawal of class will be exempted from this fee - medical grounds & expatriate swimmers home visits.

Club Activities
All swimmers are to actively support these activities: APSC Swimming Championships, Centralized Training, National or Invitational Swim Meets & Fund-raising events. Parents are encouraged to attend the Parent Support Group Meetings.

Important Information for
All Swimming Programs

1.	Temporary Leave Of Absence If you wish to take leave from the Swim School for a month or longer, kindly inform the School, in writing, one month in advance. Please obtain a form from the school. For the Learn-to-Swim and Stroke Development Program, if you wish to reserve your time slot, a full month's fee is chargeable. Otherwise, please give us a call when you return, a new time slot and Swim Teacher will be arranged for you.

2.	Withdrawal of Class Policy If you wish to withdraw your child from the program, kindly give us one month's notice in writing, otherwise, a month's fee is chargeable. The form is available at the office. Note: Absence from lesson does not indicate withdrawal from class unless the withdrawal form is received.

3.	Fee Deposit (Classes registered as of 1 Jan 2007) The deposit fee will serve as notice in-lieu for discontinuation of classes. If you wish to discontinue your swim class, please inform us 1-month in advance. All discontinuation notice will take place in the new month. The deposit will be used to offset the swim fees for that month.

4.	Bad Weather Please attend classes regardless of the weather. If there is bad weather, stroke drills, stretching and calisthenics exercises related to swimming will be conducted.

5.	Pool Closure We will inform you ahead of time should the Swim Complex be closed on certain occasions. An alternate pool will be designated.

6.	Relief Teachers/Coaches When assigned Swim Teachers/Coaches are ill or unavailable, a relief Teacher/Coaches will conduct the class. All Teachers/Coaches are trained staff of the Swim School/Club.

Payment Policy

1.	Monthly payments are due ONE WEEK before the new month.
2.	The mode of payment is by cash, cheque or credit card. If you are utilizing the credit card facility, an administrative charge of 3%(VISA and MASTERCARD) or 3.25%(AMEX) on all transactions will apply.
3.	Receipts will be issued for cash payments only.
4.	For new enrolment, lesson that starts other than the first week of the month will be pro-rated at $28.35 per lesson or per week.
5.	For Learn-to-Swim / Endurance, Stroke Development, Half Squad Course fees of S$113.40 per month* Due to the nature of Endurance and Half Squad program, we are offering 1 or 2 lessons complementary. If you wish to make cheque payments, please make it payable to: APS Swim School Singapore Pte Ltd*
6.	For Competitive Program - Red & White / Yellow Rays / Blue Sky & Blue Angels Subscription fee of S$120/- per student per year is applicable. Course fees of S$112/- per month is chargeable irrespective of attendance. If you wish to make cheque payments, please make it payable to: Aquatic Performance Swim Club*
7.	Please write the student's name, month of fee payment, day and class time on the reverse side for all cheque payments.

9.	NOTE: The APS Swim School & Aquatic Performance Swim Club reserves the right to accept, reject or terminate any person from the activities and programs of the School.
